چکیده
Researchers in Toronto and elsewhere in Canada have found that “the benefits of ART far outweigh the potential adverse effects” for both the mother and the fetus. However, in recent years, as treatment guidelines in highincome countries shift toward encouraging all HIV-positive people, regardless of CD4+ count, to initiate ART, and new drugs have become available, more research is needed to help doctors better understand the safety of ART during pregnancy.
